Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new processes for the synthesis and purification of specialty chemicals.
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes to enhance yield, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
• Conduct pilot plant trials and manage the scale-up of processes to commercial production.
• Develop and implement robust process control strategies to ensure consistent product quality.
• Perform process hazard analyses and implement necessary safety measures.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless project execution and product launch.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in process design, scale-up, and optimization within the specialty chemicals sector.
• Strong understanding of organic synthesis, reaction engineering, and separation techniques.
• Familiarity with process simulation software and P&ID development.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in chemical manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a focus on practical implementation in Liverpool .
