Chemical Process Engineer - Polymerization

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize polymerization reactor conditions to improve yield, molecular weight control, and product properties.
• Develop and implement process improvements for monomer feed systems, catalyst handling, and product recovery.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues in polymerization plants globally.
• Conduct process safety reviews and develop risk mitigation strategies for polymerization processes.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment for polymer production.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, improve consistency, and reduce operational costs.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science/Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on polymerization technology.
• In-depth understanding of various polymerization mechanisms (e.g., free radical, condensation, ionic).
• Experience with process simulation and modeling tools applied to polymerization.
• Knowledge of polymer characterization techniques and quality control measures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
