About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Chemical Engineer with a specialization in process optimisation to join their team in Liverpool . This hybrid role focuses on analysing existing chemical processes to identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. You will work closely with plant operations and management to drive data-driven decision-making and implement best practices in process engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse process data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimisation, including yield enhancement and energy reduction.
- Conduct pilot studies and trials to validate optimisation initiatives before full-scale implementation.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure the successful execution of process changes.
- Develop and maintain process models and simulation tools to support optimisation efforts.
- Prepare reports detailing findings, recommendations, and the expected impact of optimisation projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering .
- 3-7 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on optimisation or continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
