About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Sports Dietitian to provide expert nutritional guidance to athletes and sports teams. This hybrid role allows for a blend of remote consultations and in-person sessions at our facilities in Derby and potentially at client training locations. You will play a vital role in optimizing athletic performance, recovery, and overall health through evidence-based nutritional strategies. This position is ideal for a professional passionate about sports science and human performance within the leisure and sports industry, contributing to athlete well-being and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition plans for athletes.
- Provide education on sports nutrition, hydration, and supplement use.
- Work collaboratively with coaches, trainers, and medical staff to integrate nutrition strategies into performance plans.
- Monitor athletes' dietary intake and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Stay current with the latest research in sports nutrition and translate it into practical advice.
- Deliver workshops and presentations on sports nutrition topics to various groups.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) qualification.
- Post-graduate qualification or significant experience in sports dietetics .
- Proficiency in nutrition analysis software and tools.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with athletes from diverse backgrounds and levels.
- A passion for sports science and promoting optimal health through nutrition.
