Sports Events Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Sports Events Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of sporting events in and around Nottingham . This role involves coordinating all logistical aspects of events, from initial planning and budgeting to on-the-day execution and post-event evaluation. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure that events are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully, providing memorable experiences for participants and spectators alike. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about sport and meticulous in their approach to event management, contributing to the vibrant sporting calendar.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical aspects of sports events, including venue booking, scheduling, and equipment hire.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and emergency services to ensure smooth event operations.
• Assist in developing marketing and promotional plans for events to drive participation and attendance.
• Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and support.
• Conduct post-event analysis, gather feedback, and produce reports for future planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event coordination or management, preferably in a sports context.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A proactive attitude and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Relevant qualification in Event Management, Sports Management, or a related field is desirable.
