About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join their established team in Portsmouth , working on an exciting range of building design projects. This hybrid role allows you to combine focused work from home with collaborative team sessions in the office, contributing to the structural integrity and innovation of residential, commercial, and public buildings. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze the structural elements of buildings, including foundations, beams, columns, and slabs, using advanced engineering principles and software.
• Produce detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction purposes.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other consultants to achieve integrated and buildable designs.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify compliance with design specifications and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Contribute to the planning and feasibility stages of projects, providing expert structural advice and innovative solutions.

  Requirements
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
• Proven ability in structural design for building projects across various sectors.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis) and AutoCAD.
• A strong understanding of building codes, British Standards, and Eurocodes.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
