About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Sustainability Architect to champion environmentally conscious design practices within their Nottingham office. This pivotal role focuses on integrating sustainable strategies into all phases of architectural projects, from conceptual design to construction and beyond. You will lead efforts to reduce environmental impact, enhance building performance, and achieve high standards of green building certification. This is a crucial position for an architect passionate about creating a more sustainable built environment and influencing design decisions positively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies for architectural projects.
• Conduct energy modeling and environmental performance analysis.
• Advise on sustainable materials, technologies, and construction methods.
• Guide project teams to achieve relevant green building certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in sustainable architecture.
• Collaborate with clients and consultants to integrate sustainability goals into project briefs.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect (RIBA Part III or equivalent) with a focus on sustainability.
• Experience in sustainable design principles and environmental assessment tools.
• Knowledge of BREEAM , LEED, or other green building rating systems.
• Familiarity with energy modeling software and lifecycle assessment techniques.
• Strong understanding of building physics and low-carbon design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to advocate for sustainable solutions.
