About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Engineer with a focus on on-site support to join their growing team in Nottingham . This role is critical for providing hands-on technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance for sophisticated systems deployed at client locations. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of equipment, addressing technical challenges directly, and providing clients with expert support. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently at client sites and possesses strong technical acumen and excellent problem-solving skills within the Nottingham area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of technical systems and equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and diagnostic checks to prevent system failures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues reported by clients on-site.
• Provide clients with clear technical guidance and support regarding system operation.
• Document all on-site activities, findings, and resolutions accurately in service reports.
• Collaborate with remote support teams to resolve escalated issues and share knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical support or field service engineering role.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and performing technical repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be able to travel regularly within the Nottingham region.
