Telecoms Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a hands-on and meticulous Telecoms Installation Technician to join their team in the Liverpool area. You will be responsible for the physical installation and configuration of telecommunications equipment, including cabling, hardware, and associated infrastructure at customer sites. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth deployment of new services and upgrades, requiring attention to detail and adherence to technical standards. You will work directly with customers, providing a crucial point of contact during the installation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate telecom cabling (copper and fiber optic) according to industry standards.
• Mount and connect telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and customer premise devices.
• Test installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance using diagnostic tools.
• Assist with the configuration of basic network settings and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in telecom installation , electrical work, or a related technical field.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts and telecommunications systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and installation manuals.
• Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights and in various site conditions.
