About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Telecoms Network Engineer to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of their robust telecommunications network in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is key to ensuring the high performance and reliability of network services delivered to clients. You will be involved in a range of activities, from routine operational tasks to contributing to network expansion projects, working within a dedicated team of professionals in the dynamic telecoms sector .
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Monitor network performance and availability, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement network changes and upgrades following established change control procedures.
- Assist in the design and deployment of new network services and solutions.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers on network-related matters.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role within the telecommunications industry .
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANs.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with network security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
