About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Telecoms Network Operations Manager to lead their operations team in Belfast . This critical role involves overseeing the day-to-day running of the company's telecommunications network, ensuring its stability, performance, and security. You will manage a team of network engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement. The hybrid nature of this role allows for strategic planning and management from a remote setting, combined with essential on-site presence for operational oversight and team leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Network Operations Centre (NOC) team, providing direction and support.
- Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company's core telecommunications network.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance network performance and availability.
- Manage incident response, ensuring swift resolution of network outages and service disruptions.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan network upgrades, capacity management, and new service deployments.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster professional development within the operations team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing telecom network operations or a similar technical infrastructure environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications network technologies, protocols, and infrastructure.
- Experience with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and performance analysis.
- Excellent understanding of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
- Ability to manage both operational tasks and strategic initiatives effectively in a hybrid working model .
