About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled VoIP Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their voice communication systems in Leeds . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and security of their Voice over IP infrastructure, supporting internal and external communication needs. You will be responsible for system configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and implementing upgrades to enhance user experience and system efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain VoIP systems and related telephony infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure high availability of voice services.
- Manage user accounts, extensions, call routing, and voicemail configurations.
- Implement security measures to protect the VoIP network from unauthorized access and threats.
- Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and system enhancements for the VoIP platform.
- Provide technical support to end-users for voice-related issues and inquiries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a specialization in VoIP technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
- Hands-on experience with leading VoIP platforms (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Asterisk, Avaya).
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
