About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Water Resources Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to vital projects focused on water management and environmental sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hydrological analysis and develop rainfall-runoff models for water resource assessments.
- Design and implement strategies for flood defence, drainage systems, and water supply infrastructure.
- Utilize hydraulic modelling software to simulate water flow and predict flood extents.
- Develop water conservation and management plans for municipal, industrial, and agricultural clients.
- Assess the environmental impact of water resource projects and propose mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and project teams to deliver sustainable water solutions remotely.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or a related environmental science field.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in water resource management and modelling.
- Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, SWMM).
- Strong understanding of water quality, environmental regulations, and sustainable water practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver technical reports in a remote setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong report-writing capabilities.
