Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, including stress, fatigue, and fracture mechanics, using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
• Design and develop structural components and modifications for aircraft airframes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and performance specifications.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for structural repairs and upgrades.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to ensure the successful implementation of structural designs and repairs.
• Investigate structural failures or anomalies, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide expert structural engineering input throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering with a specialization in structures.
• Significant experience in aircraft structural analysis and design, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in using FEA software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of material properties, composite structures, and metallic materials used in aerospace.
• Familiarity with aerospace structural testing methods and equipment.
• Excellent report-writing skills and ability to present technical findings clearly.
