Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis, including stress, fatigue, and fracture mechanics, using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Design and develop structural components and modifications for aircraft airframes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and performance specifications.
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for structural repairs and upgrades.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to ensure the successful implementation of structural designs and repairs.
- Investigate structural failures or anomalies, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide expert structural engineering input throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering with a specialization in structures.
- Significant experience in aircraft structural analysis and design, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in using FEA software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of material properties, composite structures, and metallic materials used in aerospace.
- Familiarity with aerospace structural testing methods and equipment.
- Excellent report-writing skills and ability to present technical findings clearly.
