About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented Aircraft Structures Engineer to join their engineering team in Sunderland . This role involves the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft structural components, ensuring they meet stringent safety and performance standards. You will work on a variety of projects, from new aircraft development to modifications and repairs, contributing to the structural integrity and longevity of aircraft across the aviation landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Design and develop new aircraft structural components and repair schemes.
- Conduct stress testing and fatigue analysis to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
- Stay updated on advancements in materials science and structural engineering relevant to the aviation industry .
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft structures design and analysis.
- Proficiency with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicating clearly with teams both on-site and remotely in Sunderland .
