Arborist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Arborist to join their team in Nottingham . This role involves the care and maintenance of trees, including pruning, trimming, diagnosing and treating tree diseases, and safe removal of trees when necessary. You will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of trees in various settings, including urban environments, parks, and private properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a deep knowledge of arboriculture, and proficiency with climbing and rigging techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tree pruning, trimming, and shaping according to industry best practices.
• Diagnose tree health issues and recommend appropriate treatments or interventions.
• Safely dismantle and remove hazardous or dead trees.
• Plant new trees and provide initial care to ensure successful establishment.
• Operate and maintain specialized arboricultural equipment, including chainsaws and rigging gear.
• Advise clients on tree care and maintenance strategies.

Requirements

• Certification as a Certified Arborist (e.g., from the Arboricultural Association or ISA).
• Proven experience in professional tree care and climbing.
• Strong knowledge of tree biology, identification, and common diseases/pests.
• Proficiency in safe climbing, rigging, and aerial rescue techniques.
• Ability to operate various types of arboricultural equipment safely.
• Good physical condition and ability to work at heights and outdoors.
