About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their state-of-the-art workshop in Belfast . In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and resolving complex technical issues across a diverse range of vehicle makes and models. Your expertise in diagnostics will be key to ensuring customer vehicles are repaired correctly the first time, upholding the garage's reputation for excellence. You will work with the latest diagnostic equipment and collaborate with a team of experienced professionals dedicated to providing top-tier automotive service in Belfast .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth diagnostics on vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using advanced tools.
- Interpret diagnostic data, technical manuals, and fault codes to determine root causes of vehicle malfunctions.
- Conduct necessary repairs and replacements, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Provide clear and concise technical reports to the service advisors and customers regarding findings and proposed solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques through continuous learning.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to company and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or a similar advanced role.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency with a wide range of vehicle diagnostic software and hardware.
- Strong understanding of engine management systems, CAN bus technology, and electronic controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is required for this position.
