Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Automotive Diagnostics Technician to join their state-of-the-art service center in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK . This role is crucial for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles. You will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of automotive repair and maintenance, contributing to the smooth operation of vehicles for their valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing on vehicle engines, electrical systems, and other components using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Identify root causes of vehicle malfunctions and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Execute repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong focus on diagnostics.
- Proficiency with a wide range of diagnostic tools and software specific to various vehicle makes and models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a workshop environment.
- Valid UK driving license is essential.
