About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Diagnostics Technician to join their busy service centre in Birmingham . In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles. You will utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and your extensive technical knowledge to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing using advanced scan tools and equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Interpret diagnostic data, technical service bulletins, and repair manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
• Perform complex repairs, including engine, transmission, braking, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Communicate technical findings and repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong focus on diagnostics.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent certification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proficiency with various diagnostic software and hardware, including oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and vehicle electrical architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Valid UK driving license.
