Automotive Parts Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organized and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Advisor to join their busy parts department in Bradford . In this role, you will be responsible for managing parts inventory, assisting technicians and customers with part identification and orders, and ensuring efficient stock control. Excellent product knowledge, strong administrative skills, and a customer-focused approach are essential for success. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department by providing timely and accurate parts supply.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source automotive parts for workshop technicians and external customers.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and order replacement parts as needed.
• Process parts orders accurately using the dealership management system.
• Advise customers and technicians on parts suitability and availability.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to parts orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Automotive Parts Advisor role or similar parts department function.
• Good knowledge of vehicle components and part numbers.
• Proficiency in using parts cataloguing systems and inventory management software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately, both independently and as part of a team.
• A valid UK driving license would be advantageous.
