Concept Artist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly imaginative and skilled Concept Artist to join their fully remote creative team. You will be instrumental in developing the visual foundation for new projects, creating environments, characters, and props that define the look and feel of games, films, or other media. This role requires a deep understanding of art fundamentals, anatomy, perspective, and storytelling, combined with the ability to rapidly iterate on ideas. You will collaborate closely with directors and other artists to bring imaginative worlds to life, working in a dynamic and supportive remote environment that encourages innovation and artistic exploration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and illustrate original characters, environments, vehicles, and props based on project requirements.
• Develop detailed visual representations and mood boards to establish the artistic direction.
• Collaborate with game designers, directors, and other artists to iterate on concepts and solve visual problems.
• Create polished concept art suitable for presentation to stakeholders and for use in production pipelines.
• Maintain a strong understanding of art fundamentals, including anatomy, perspective, composition, and color theory.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in concept art and digital painting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Concept Artist , with a compelling portfolio showcasing a range of designs and styles.
• Expertise in digital painting software such as Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, or Corel Painter.
• Strong foundational art skills, including drawing, composition, color theory, and anatomy.
• Ability to quickly generate multiple ideas and iterate on designs based on feedback.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote working environment.
• Experience in specific genres (e.g., sci-fi, fantasy) is highly desirable.
