About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and imaginative Concept Artist to join their vibrant creative studio located in the historic city of Oxford . This role is pivotal in establishing the visual direction and aesthetic foundation for our upcoming projects across the Arts & Entertainment landscape. You will be responsible for generating compelling visual ideas and translating them into striking concept art that inspires the rest of the development team. Working in a collaborative studio environment, you will contribute significantly to the unique look and feel of our productions, helping to define worlds, characters, and environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key art.
• Explore and develop visual styles that align with project briefs and artistic direction.
• Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and other artists to refine concepts.
• Produce polished illustrations that clearly communicate mood, atmosphere, and functionality.
• Research and gather visual references to inform and inspire the design process.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from the creative team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Concept Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse visual styles and creative ideation.
• Proficiency in industry-standard digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, composition, colour theory, and lighting.
• Ability to create both realistic and stylized artwork as required by the project.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a studio in Oxford .
• A passion for visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail.
