About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Construction Health and Safety Officer to join their team in Reading . This role requires diligent monitoring of sites, conducting risk assessments, and providing expert advice to management and site personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.
• Provide health and safety training and guidance to site staff and management.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant UK health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and prepare reports for management.

Requirements

• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer within the construction sector .
• In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, influencing, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to risk management.
