About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Drilling Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of drilling operations for their projects, primarily focusing on onshore unconventional resources. This pivotal role, based in our Coventry operational hub, requires a leader with a strong safety ethos and extensive experience in managing complex drilling campaigns. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising drilling activities to ensure they are conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget, while adhering to stringent environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement drilling programs, including well design, casing and cementing strategies, and completion plans.
• Manage and mentor drilling supervisors and crews, ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
• Oversee the procurement of drilling services, equipment, and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor drilling progress, analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Manage operational budgets and control drilling expenditures effectively.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in drilling operations, with a significant portion in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record in managing onshore drilling projects, preferably in unconventional plays.
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in drilling software and cost management systems.
• Relevant industry certifications and a commitment to continuous safety improvement.
