About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their online store in Leeds . This critical role ensures the seamless functioning of all e-commerce processes, from inventory management and order fulfillment to customer service and website performance. You will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency, implementing best practices, and driving improvements to enhance the customer experience and support business growth. This position offers a significant opportunity to lead operational strategy within a dynamic and expanding e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Implement and maintain efficient customer service protocols to resolve inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor website performance, uptime, and user experience, coordinating with technical teams for any necessary fixes or improvements.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all e-commerce operations functions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce operations management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems, order fulfillment workflows, and logistics.
- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and associated operational software.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities with remote collaboration.
