About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their online retail operations in Sunderland . This critical role ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of all aspects of the e-commerce business, from website management and order fulfillment to inventory control and customer service. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily e-commerce operations, including website maintenance, order processing, and customer support inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Manage inventory levels across all sales channels, implementing effective stock control measures to prevent stockouts and minimize overstock.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective warehousing, shipping, and returns processes.
- Analyze operational performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all key e-commerce operations functions.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support promotional activities and ensure operational readiness for peak trading periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in e-commerce operations management or a similar logistics/supply chain role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and order fulfillment processes.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and CRM systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a high-performance culture.
- Experience in process optimization and implementing operational improvements.
