About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of their online retail business. This critical role, located in Sunderland , will ensure seamless order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for optimizing processes, managing logistics partners, and leading a dedicated operations team to support the company's ambitious growth targets within the competitive e-commerce sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of e-commerce operations, including order processing, fulfillment, shipping, and returns management.
Manage inventory levels across all sales channels, implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Develop and maintain relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping carriers.
Implement and refine operational workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.
Monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs) and report on trends and areas for improvement.
Lead, train, and motivate the operations team to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

Significant experience (5+ years) in e-commerce operations management or a similar logistics/supply chain role.
Proven ability to manage inventory, fulfillment, and shipping processes effectively.
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and order management systems (OMS).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience managing third-party vendors and negotiating contracts.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
