About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead their financial strategy function in Plymouth . This critical role involves overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to provide actionable insights that drive business performance. You will partner closely with senior leadership, guiding strategic decision-making and financial resource allocation within the dynamic financial services industry . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and analyze key financial metrics, identifying trends and providing insights to support strategic initiatives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Conduct variance analysis and explain deviations from budget and forecast.
- Support business unit leaders with financial insights and performance management.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting tools, processes, and analytics capabilities.
- Evaluate potential investments and business cases from a financial perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ideally within banking or finance .
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial software, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
