About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Horticulturalist to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on the cultivation, care, and management of a diverse range of plants, flowers, and landscapes within a commercial or public setting. You will be involved in planning planting schemes, managing plant health, supervising grounds maintenance, and contributing to the aesthetic and ecological value of the designated areas. This hybrid role combines hands-on practical work with planning and advisory tasks, offering a chance to shape and maintain beautiful, thriving green spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, plant, and maintain horticultural displays, gardens, and landscapes.
• Identify and treat plant diseases, pests, and nutritional deficiencies.
• Manage irrigation systems and ensure adequate water supply for plant health.
• Advise on plant selection, soil improvement, and sustainable gardening practices.
• Supervise garden staff and contractors to ensure high standards of horticultural care.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field.
• Proven experience in professional horticulture or garden management.
• Strong knowledge of plant identification, propagation, and cultivation techniques.
• Familiarity with pest and disease management, and sustainable horticultural practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
