About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Horticulturalist to manage and maintain extensive gardens and plant collections at a prominent site in Belfast . This role requires a deep passion for plants, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage horticultural projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for the cultivation, propagation, and care of a wide range of plant species, ensuring the aesthetic and ecological health of the gardens. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, plant, and maintain diverse horticultural displays, including flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
• Oversee propagation programs, including seed sowing, grafting, and cuttings.
• Manage pest and disease control using integrated and sustainable methods.
• Operate and maintain horticultural equipment, such as mowers, strimmers, and pruning tools.
• Supervise and train junior horticultural staff and volunteers.
• Ensure the safety and accessibility of garden areas for visitors and staff.

Requirements

• Qualification in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in professional horticulture or garden management.
• Expertise in plant identification, cultivation, and care across various species.
• Proficiency in pruning, propagation, and pest/disease management techniques.
