About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Horticulturalist to manage and develop their extensive gardens and grounds in Southampton . This role involves the cultivation, maintenance, and enhancement of a diverse range of plant collections, ensuring the highest standards of horticultural practice. You will be responsible for planning planting schemes, managing garden staff, and maintaining the aesthetic appeal and biodiversity of the horticultural areas. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, plant, and maintain a wide variety of plant species, including shrubs, trees, herbaceous borders, and seasonal bedding.
• Manage and operate horticultural equipment, ensuring safety and proper maintenance.
• Supervise and guide a team of gardeners, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement integrated pest and disease management strategies using environmentally friendly methods.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new planting schemes and garden features.

Requirements

• Qualification in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field.
