About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their team and drive operational excellence in Norwich . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all industrial engineering activities, including process design, optimization, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles. You will manage a team of engineers, set strategic objectives, and collaborate with senior management to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality production across the facility. This is a key position for an accomplished engineer looking to make a significant impact in Norwich .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers to achieve departmental goals.
- Develop and implement strategic industrial engineering plans to optimize production processes and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the application of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage complex projects, from conception through to implementation and evaluation.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align industrial engineering initiatives with business objectives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt certification highly preferred).
- Strong experience in process design, simulation, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive change initiatives.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
