About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and efficient Insurance Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of their busy office in Sheffield . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant functioning of key operational areas, including policy issuance, customer service, and claims processing support. You will lead a team of operational staff, implement process improvements, and manage resources to achieve departmental goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance operations and a proven ability to drive efficiency and manage teams effectively in a dedicated office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct daily operations for policy administration, customer service, and claims support functions.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operational staff, setting clear performance objectives.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies within operational processes.
- Oversee the effective use of technology and systems to support operational workflows.
- Manage budgets and resources allocated to the operations department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance operations management or a related leadership role.
- Proven experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong understanding of insurance operational workflows and systems.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
