About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to join their pioneering team, operating on a fully remote basis. This critical role involves safeguarding the connected and autonomous vehicle systems from evolving cyber threats. You will lead the charge in developing and implementing robust cybersecurity strategies, protocols, and solutions to protect vehicle networks, data, and critical functions. This position is ideal for a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a passion for automotive innovation, offering the opportunity to shape the security posture of future vehicles and work within a forward-thinking, globally distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and architectures specifically tailored for automotive systems , including connected and autonomous vehicle platforms.
- Conduct in-depth threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses of vehicle software, hardware, and communication interfaces.
- Lead incident response efforts, including detection, investigation, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity breaches and anomalies.
- Define and enforce security coding standards and best practices for software development teams, ensuring secure design principles are embedded throughout the lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements impacting the automotive industry and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, with a focus on network security or embedded systems security.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years dedicated to automotive cybersecurity or IoT security.
- Demonstrated expertise in security analysis, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and incident response methodologies.
- Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet), security standards (ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29), and cryptographic principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage a remote team effectively and collaborate with diverse technical groups.
