About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Leisure Centre Manager to lead operations at their vibrant facility in Coventry . This role involves overseeing all aspects of the centre's day-to-day activities, from staff management and customer service to financial performance and facility maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all members and users, driving membership growth, and delivering a diverse range of high-quality leisure and recreational programmes. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong understanding of the leisure industry.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the operational, financial, and strategic performance of the leisure centre.
Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of staff, including reception, fitness instructors, and facility attendants.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining high standards of facility cleanliness and maintenance.
Develop and implement innovative marketing and sales strategies to increase membership and programme participation.
Foster excellent customer relationships, handling feedback and resolving issues promptly to enhance member satisfaction.
Plan and oversee the delivery of a wide range of fitness classes, sports activities, and community events.

Requirements

Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within the leisure or hospitality industry.
Demonstrable track record of achieving operational and financial targets.
Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a public facility setting.
Experience in marketing, sales, and customer relationship management.
Relevant qualifications in Leisure Management, Business Administration, or a related field are advantageous.
