About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Leisure Centre Manager to oversee operations at their flagship facility in Coventry . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and activities to the local community. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for operational efficiency, and a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience in a busy Coventry environment. You will manage staff, budgets, and facility upkeep to maintain the centre's reputation and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all operational aspects of the leisure centre, including staffing, facility maintenance, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, user engagement, and revenue streams.
- Oversee the scheduling and delivery of a diverse range of fitness classes, sports activities, and community events.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the facility.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of centre staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in leisure centre management or a similar operational management role.
- Strong understanding of fitness industry trends, health and safety regulations, and customer service best practices.
- Proven financial acumen, including budget management and P&L responsibility.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in Leisure Management, Business Administration, or a related field are desirable.
