This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the centre, from staff management and customer service to financial performance and facility upkeep. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, driving membership growth, and upholding the highest standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational acumen and a passion for community engagement within the leisure and sports sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, and facility maintenance for the Birmingham centre.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure profitability.
- Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Engage with the local community to promote centre activities and build partnerships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing leisure facilities or a similar customer-facing operational role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to leisure centres.
