About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Livestock Farm Hand to join their team on a busy farm in Portsmouth . This role is essential for the daily care and management of livestock, ensuring their health, welfare, and productivity. You will be involved in feeding, mucking out, monitoring animal health, and assisting with basic veterinary care. This is a hands-on position for an individual with a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for animal husbandry, contributing to the smooth running of a key agricultural enterprise in Hampshire , working within a supportive farm community.

Key Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock according to established schedules and requirements.
• Clean and maintain animal housing, ensuring hygienic conditions.
• Monitor livestock for signs of illness or distress and report concerns to the farm manager.
• Assist with basic veterinary procedures and administer medications as directed.
• Help with animal handling during shearing, dipping, or other necessary procedures.
• Maintain farm records related to animal health and feeding.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with livestock is essential.
