About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Master Automotive Technician to join their well-established service centre in Birmingham . This senior position requires a comprehensive understanding of all automotive systems, from basic maintenance to intricate diagnostics and repairs. You will be the go-to expert for challenging repairs, leading by example and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on all makes and models, identifying faults in engines, transmissions, braking, and electrical systems.
- Conduct major repair work, including engine rebuilds, gearbox replacements, and complex electrical diagnostics.
- Supervise and guide junior technicians, offering technical support and quality control.
- Manage workload efficiently to meet service targets and deadlines while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a qualified Automotive Technician, with significant time spent in a Master Technician role.
- Advanced diagnostic certifications and a proven track record of solving complex vehicle issues.
- Proficiency with electronic diagnostic software and hardware.
- Expert knowledge of engine performance, HVAC systems, and vehicle electronics.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
