About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Mine Maintenance Technician to support their operations in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of a wide range of mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, combined with a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will work as part of a dedicated maintenance team, contributing to the smooth running of essential mining infrastructure and operations in the Hampshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mining machinery, including heavy-duty vehicles, conveyors, and processing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in mining equipment.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and safety checks on all machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and log all work performed.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.
• Adhere to all site safety rules and procedures, participating in safety training.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
• Relevant vocational training or certification in mechanics or electrical systems is advantageous.
