About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mine Operations Manager to oversee operations at their significant mining site in Coventry . You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of resources, managing a diverse workforce and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a critical leadership position demanding strong operational acumen and a commitment to fostering a productive and secure working environment. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence and achieving production targets within the challenging mining industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all aspects of daily mine operations, including planning, production, and maintenance.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across the site.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize extraction efficiency and minimize costs.
- Manage and mentor a team of supervisors, engineers, and operational staff, promoting a culture of safety and high performance.
- Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of all mining equipment and infrastructure.
- Monitor production output against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale mining operations and diverse workforces.
- In-depth knowledge of mining techniques, equipment, and safety protocols relevant to Coventry .
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of financial management and budget control for operational departments.
