About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mine Operations Manager to oversee operations at their significant mining site in Coventry . You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of resources, managing a diverse workforce and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a critical leadership position demanding strong operational acumen and a commitment to fostering a productive and secure working environment. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence and achieving production targets within the challenging mining industry .

Key Responsibilities

Direct and manage all aspects of daily mine operations, including planning, production, and maintenance.
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across the site.
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize extraction efficiency and minimize costs.
Manage and mentor a team of supervisors, engineers, and operational staff, promoting a culture of safety and high performance.
Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of all mining equipment and infrastructure.
Monitor production output against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale mining operations and diverse workforces.
In-depth knowledge of mining techniques, equipment, and safety protocols relevant to Coventry .
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
Strong understanding of financial management and budget control for operational departments.
