About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term mine plans, production schedules, and resource models.
- Design mine layouts, including pit designs, haul roads, and ventilation systems, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Utilize advanced mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac) for simulation and optimization.
- Collaborate with operations, geology, and survey teams to ensure plans are practical and achievable.
- Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new projects and mine expansions.
- Monitor operational performance against plans, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine planning and design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard mine planning software packages.
- Solid understanding of mining methods, geology, and surveying principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment in Hampshire .
