About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and meticulous Mine Surveyor to join their established team in Bristol, South West England . This role is integral to mapping and measuring mine workings, ensuring accurate data for planning, development, and safety. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and techniques to provide precise spatial information, working both underground and on the surface. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surface and underground surveys using modern surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanners).
- Prepare and maintain accurate mine plans, cross-sections, and reports.
- Establish and control survey control networks within the mine.
- Monitor ground movement and provide data for stability assessments.
- Collaborate with geologists and engineers to integrate survey data into mine planning.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with industry standards and regulations in Bristol .
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in mine surveying or similar industrial surveying roles.
- Proficiency with surveying software and data processing techniques.
- Experience with underground surveying in mining environments is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures for surveying work in South West England .
