About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Mineral Processing Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh , utilizing a hybrid working model. This role is crucial for optimizing the extraction and recovery of valuable minerals from mined ore. You will design, operate, and troubleshoot processing circuits, ensuring maximum yield and product quality while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mineral processing circuits and flowsheets.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale test work to evaluate different processing methods.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to improve recovery and efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze processing plant performance data.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations in all processing activities.
• Collaborate with metallurgists, geologists, and plant operations teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in mineral processing , with a strong understanding of various techniques.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimMet).
• Knowledge of sampling, assaying, and quality control procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote and on-site capacity.
