About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Industrial Engineer to lead critical initiatives in their Cambridge facility. This senior role is responsible for developing and implementing advanced operational strategies that drive significant improvements in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across the organization. You will serve as a subject matter expert, mentor junior engineers, and champion innovative approaches to process design and optimization. This on-site position requires a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles and a proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects within a demanding environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex operational improvement projects, leveraging advanced analytical techniques.
• Develop long-term strategic roadmaps for operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to a team of industrial and process engineers.
• Analyze and optimize facility layouts, production flows, and supply chain logistics.
• Champion the integration of new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational performance.
• Present findings, recommendations, and project outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a significant portion in a senior or principal role.
• Extensive knowledge of advanced Lean, Six Sigma (Master Black Belt preferred), and operations research techniques.
• Demonstrated success in leading transformational projects with measurable business impact.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
