Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel chemical processes from laboratory scale through to pilot plant operations, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.
- Utilize process modeling and simulation tools to predict performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize designs before physical implementation.
- Conduct thorough research into new materials, catalysts, and reaction pathways to enhance process capabilities.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and intellectual property documentation.
- Collaborate remotely with manufacturing, R&D, and external partners to ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues encountered during development and scale-up phases.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Significant experience in process development, scale-up, and pilot plant operations.
- Proficiency with chemical process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD) and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation technologies.
- Experience in managing projects and working effectively within remote, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
