Resource Geologist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Resource Geologist to join their globally distributed team, operating remotely with a focus on their Scottish mineral interests. This position is critical for accurately defining and estimating the quantity and quality of mineral resources, forming the basis for mine planning and investment decisions. You will work closely with exploration teams and mine engineers to ensure robust resource models are developed and maintained. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate geological resource models using industry-standard software.
• Perform geostatistical analysis, including variography and kriging, to estimate resource grades and tonnages.
• Classify resources according to international standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Prepare comprehensive resource reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate remotely with exploration geologists to integrate new drilling data into models.
• Provide technical input for mine planning and feasibility studies.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in resource geology , with a proven track record in modelling various deposit types.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D geological modelling and geostatistical software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog Geo, Isatis).
• Deep understanding of mineral deposit types and geological controls on mineralization.
• Excellent analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working in a remote, international team.
