Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize chemical processes to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and pilot plant trials for new product development and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and hazard assessments.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and safety teams to ensure seamless integration and safe operation of new processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operations personnel.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in chemical process design and optimisation.
- Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and HAZOP studies.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
