About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and scale-up of new chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Optimize existing chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct thorough process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement necessary safety controls.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, timelines, and budgets for process engineering initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement effective corrective actions in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in chemical process design, optimization, and scale-up.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and P&ID development.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical reaction engineering , thermodynamics, and separation processes.
- Experience with HAZOP studies and Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects.
