About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their operations in Southampton . You will be pivotal in enhancing our chemical manufacturing processes, driving improvements in efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes and modifications to existing ones.
- Conduct detailed process analyses, simulations, and feasibility studies to identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot process deviations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Ensure all process designs and operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution and operational continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process engineering within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, and reaction kinetics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid work environment.
